Associate Accounting and Reporting

MTS Associated Markets SA is an electronic financial platform where banks quote and trade government securities, regulated by National Bank of Belgium and FSMA. A team of four persons is responsible for the leadership, administration, client service and business development.

We are looking for a professional (m/f/x) familiar with accounting practices and excel reporting.

Associate Accounting and Reporting

You will be an important member of a small team, sharing the common mission of delivering services and solutions to our clients (financial institutions), including:

• accounting duties: bookkeeping, invoicing and bank accounts management, including monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports;
• performing quantitative analysis such as producing regular and ad hoc analysis reports;
• monitoring market activities and performing operational processes like List of new securities, Update instrument configuration and ensure monitoring updates activity report;
• liaising with VAT & Tax administration and financial regulators (National Bank of Belgium and FSMA);
• assisting in the preparation of reports for Board & Market Committee meetings, General Assembly, etc.

The job might also offer opportunities for development into client relationship management.

Finance professional with a business-related bachelor degree;

• at least 1 year experience in a similar role for a Belgian regulated financial institution;
• familiar with accounting practices and excel reporting, in addition to being;
• good with figures, and in particular statistics;
• computer literate (excellent command of Excel and Office is necessary, Access is a bonus);
• analytical: able to produce and analyze figures, applying them to real case scenarios;
• fluent in English (oral and written) and very good command of French or Dutch;
• motivated, flexible, service oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and team playing;
• curiosity for information technology in general.
