Production/Process Engineer


Ciner Glass Ltd. is the UK incorporated holding company for the global Container Glass operations of Ciner Group, a large industrial conglomerate established in 1978, based in Turkey.

Ciner Glass, which took to the road in 2011 with a dream of building a glass civilization, started its first production in Bilecik Bozüyük in 2013, now producing 2.4 billion bottles annually. As Turkey's best glass packaging plant, it started to look for new investments to sustain this success worldwide.

In 2018, Ciner Glass decided to expand its activities worldwide. Our goal is to expand our presence in the Turkish, British, European and American markets with the first step being the development of our production facility in Lommel, fully operational with 2 furnaces (470,000 tons annual capacity) by the end of 2026. The state-of-the-art and automated machinery is being prepared to employ more than 500 employees when production is fully operational.

  • A challenging sustainable environment in a innovative culture will challenge you to embrace the full process of glass production and drives you to improve its product quality, processes, .
  • Responsible for the analysis of production data, identification of bottlenecks and implementation of improvements to increase operational efficiency in your area as well as cross-departmental.
  • Take care of defining, monitoring and optimising production processes and monitoring their application.
  • Watch over the efficiency of the production process and optimise where possible.
  • Study the operation and possibilities of our machinery. • Develop and implement new procedures.
  • Act as key user in the implementation of our specific production software (ERP, production planning, CAM system, etc.).
  • An example in driving our safety culture to the top.
  • Report to the department manager.

  • At least a bachelor degree in mechanical (production, mould, batch & furnace, maintenance), electronical (production, cold end, maintenance) or industrial (cold end, quality) engineering or another relevant engineering degree (e.g. food, environment, mining, material science) linked to glass production.
  • A first experience in process industry is preferred.
  • You are open minded and eager to learn and develop. We will train you in the exciting and challenging glass production process.
  • Driven by continuous improvement you go the extra mile for the best alternatives and solutions.
  • Have a systematic analytical approach with an acute sense of responsibility with respect to project financials, project planning and knowledge sharing with colleagues in general
  • Strong communication skills with all stakeholders in Dutch and English (spoken and written), Turkish is a plus • Be highly motivated, eager to learn and broaden the knowledge with respect to your department.
  • Be able to function in a team realizing the complete project together.
  • Strong people management skills for potential growth to a leading function
  • A dynamic personality, an a proactive and innovative approach to work.
  • You are present at the production floor
