Educational support teacher

The European School of Brussels II is recruiting for the Primary cycle - German section:

An educational support teacher (part-time – approximately 12 hours per week).

Fixed-term contract.

The European Schools are an intergovernmental organization, offering multilingual and multicultural education.

The work consists of teaching in the primary cycle, involving assistance to students where applicable.

• Native German speaker level.
• Excellent knowledge and command of English/French is an asset.
• Teacher's diploma for the desired position.
• Diploma or qualification suitable for this position.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in basic education (primary) desirable.
• Qualifications/diplomas/experience in supporting students with special needs and learning disabilities is required
• Excellent communication skills, experience and ability to collaborate with other professionals (teachers, speech therapists, psychometricians, educational psychologists).
• Candidates must have the skills required to work with young children.
• Collaborative spirit with colleagues, management and families.

• Fixed-term contract: 01/09/2024 – 31/08/2025 (with a possibility to be extended).
• Start date: 01/09/2024.
