The main accountabilities for this job include:

Our client in Belgium is seeking a Revenue Controller to help manage their revenue streams. You should be well-versed in the principles of analytical accounting. In addition to handling client revenue and billings, you should be adept at analyzing figures related to client/project profitability, user analysis, and margins.

Do you have the sharp focus of a shark and the broad perspective of an eagle? Can you translate business information into a clear administrative setup for clients and projects? Are you communicative enough to coach and educate our commercial department, ensuring they can manage their clients effectively on an administrative level? This includes transforming briefings into budget estimates, billing clients, managing external purchases and timesheets, and ultimately achieving a healthy project margin. Proper financial administration will lead to smooth and healthy client revenue.

Teamwork is your credo, and meeting deadlines is your challenge! You will support the teams in Antwerp and Brussels by being responsible for client revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revenue recognition: Manage the monthly revenue close process, client billing, and book month-end revenue accruals/deferrals (adjustments) at the project level;
• Serve as the day-to-day contact for our commercial team regarding all client projects, coaching and controlling them to adhere to all administrative procedures, policies, and processes related to client revenue;
• Play a key role in validating revenue forecasts;
• Operate effectively in an international environment with a broad range of control measures, including compliance with SOX;
• Conduct monthly intercompany reconciliations and follow-ups;
• Perform reporting (from a client/project/user perspective) and aging analyses.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• You have demonstrated expertise in financial management and accounting;
• You possess excellent analytical skills and financial acumen;
• You are an excellent communicator, punctual, and a problem solver;
• You love coaching (non-finance) people in financial administration;
• You are accountable, deliver on promises, and follow through on commitments even in challenging circumstances.
• You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a revenue role, preferably in the creative or services sector;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English;
• You are critical and positive by nature;
