The European School Brussels III is looking for:

A Geography & Human sciences teacher (German speaking section)

& German as foreign language teacher

Secondary cycle – 21 periods/week

Ad Interim contract

The European Schools are an intergovernmental organisation offering multilingual and multicultural education.

• Teach the following subjects: Geography, Human sciences and German as a foreign language
• Prepare lessons
• Assess students' knowledge
• Participate in meetings and discussions with teaching staff and parents

• Native speaker or thorough knowledge of the teaching language GERMAN (C1-C2 certified)
• Knowledge of another language of the school is an advantage (FR, CS, EN, NL, ES, EL)
• University degree (validated by the national authorities) permitting to teach in the secondary school (until the Baccalaureate)
• Recent professional experience for at least 2 years in the secondary cycle (until the Baccalaureate)
• European citizen or person having a valid working permit in Belgium
• Ability to teach mixed classes using effective differentiation
• Strong motivation in teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment
• Ability to work and to cooperate with colleagues, management and families

We are offering contracts in accordance with the Service regulations for the locally recruited teachers in the European schools (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-en-14) available on the EE website : www.eursc.eu

• Starting day: 01.09.2024
• Schedule: 21 periods per week
• Availability: Candidates must be available from 01.09.2024 to 25.10.2024
• Gross salary: Ad interim teacher shall be paid €64,85 (gross) for one period in secondary classes.
• Location: Brussels, Belgium.
