HR Manager


For one of our customers based in Brussels, we are currently looking for a HR Manager.


Our customer is an International Law firm having presence in more than 20 countries. For its Brussels office, we are currently looking for a HR Manager to deliver the firm's people strategy for the legal teams. You will work alongside the HR Manager for Business Services and the HR Assistant and will be supported by central HR functions in London.


You will provide support to legal teams in all aspects of people management. This includes:

  • Managing the recruitment process from discussing the needs of the teams to conducting interviews and tests, organising the administration and onboarding.
  • Supporting the team in their career development by organising and participating in the annual reviews and objective setting, leading the promotion and succession planning, ensuring all members have access to training and support helping them to develop on a personal and professional level.
  • Encouraging strong performance by designing reward and recognition strategies and managing the annual remuneration and bonus review process.
  • Attracting and retaining talent, supported by the newly developed employer branding.
  • Being actively involved in the diversity, inclusion and corporate responsibility committee, implementing the strong D&I ambitions of the firm.
  • Working closely with the International HR team to shape the HR strategy and contribute to international HR projects. Regularly optimise the local HR processes and policies.

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 5 years in a generalist HR role that combines operational and strategic responsibilities. Prior experience working in a professional services or partnership environment and experience dealing with senior management is a plus.
  • A Master's degree in HR management or equivalent by experience.
  • An excellent command of English, with a professional level of Dutch and French, both spoken and written.
  • An ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels.
  • Pro-activity, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Discretion, tact and empathy.
  • A strong sense of responsibility for delivering a first-class service.
  • Demonstrable understanding and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of recruitment and payroll systems and HR databases.
